He gave us a first class tour including a ride in the fire truck. We were also very lucky to get to see a helicopter landing. Aiden has been playing with his rescue helicopter ever since. Here are some pictures of Connor and Aiden checking things out.

]]> http://aidenscrib.com/2010/04/19/easter-2010/feed/ 0 Aiden at 2 and a Half http://aidenscrib.com/2010/04/19/aiden-at-2-and-a-half/ http://aidenscrib.com/2010/04/19/aiden-at-2-and-a-half/#comments Tue, 20 Apr 2010 00:35:16 +0000 Mom http://aiden.dskmedia.com/?p=73 At two and a half, Aiden’s imagination is soaring.  We will be driving in the car and he’ll say, “Here’s a banana mom.”  He waits for me to eat it and tell him how delicious it is.  He’ll also point to the passenger seat of my car and say, “Mommy watch out there’s a tiger hiding in the grass!”  He’s a hoot!  Part of his imagination has brought on some new friends.  We’ve never seen them, but Aiden has been convincing us since his second birthday that they exist.  It started with Craig-Craig and Deein whom are both two and have the same birthday as Aiden.  This is the known information we have about these boys.  Deein lives in a Sponge Bob house with Dora and Craig-Craig has a tiny baby in his tummy.  Yeah!  I couldn’t make this up if I tried.  Needless to say, we never know what is going to come out of Aiden’s mouth.  The newest friends as of the past couple weeks are “Got to Go” and Duncan.  I think Aiden is ready for school and to be around real friends.

He gets it, but takes it to a whole new level. For example, I want to wash his hair, “now my turn!” I am cutting up an apple, “now my turn!” You can see how this little phrase gets us in some interesting disagreements. Another thing he says (which I find hysterical) is he sings “Please, mommy, please, please!” I’ll have to get him on tape saying it because the intonation he uses is really funny. Not that I want to encourage this begging, but he makes me smile every time.

If Aiden notices that someone has something that he also has, he has to “cheers” you. For example, if we’re both holding a marker, he insists we tap the markers and say “cheers!” He’s a little party animal at heart! Speaking of party animal, when I say, “Aiden, do you know what time it is?” (implying bed time), he replies, “party time!” Don’t know where he gets this stuff, but he’s such a ham!

Aiden has been an absolute joy this holiday season! He loves being around family, shopping for presents in the mall, learning about Jesus’ birthday, and of course, hearing about Santa’s impending visit. When he met Santa, he asked for a “polar bear” which was so innocent, simple, and sweet. Santa brought him an artic animal set (which of course had a polar bear!), an art desk, a doctor’s kit, a view master, and a remote control car. Aiden was so excited about each and every present! Grammy and PaPa also got Aiden a very cool train table which he loves playing with.
